We are proud to announce that Fred Gallagher has agreed to be the Club’s new Honorary President. He has in fact been a member of S&SCC for some time! Many of you will know of him, he was a most successful Co-Driver, winning no less than five WRC events in the late 1970s and early 80s. Well known to many as accompanying Tony Pond in the fabulous TR7 V8 as well. Active now in classic and vintage rallying, he is now Rally Director of ‘Rally the Globe’, organising rallies worldwide. His position will be ratified at the forthcoming AGM and we hope to welcome him at a club event soon.
