The Wiltshire Women take the GTC on 2 historic tours across the county boundary

Judy Howles writes of two historic tours she has recently participated in with her cousin Liz. They used Judy’s soft top Reliant Scimitar GTC, refettled over the last winter and enjoyed complete reliability.

Both events used Tulip navigation backed up by maps, and the ladies admit to their route finding not being quite as reliable as their car.

The Aquae Sulis tour organised by Bath MC started at Cumberwell Pk and ran via Lacock, Crudwell and Kemble (graveyard of 747s) to lunch at Chavenage Ho. Afterwards returning via Minchinhampton Common and Castle Combe.

The Valleys & Villages Tour a couple of weeks later was put on by our friends at Devizes DMC.. Based at Wootton Bassett, the event ran via Hullavington to lunch at the Atwell Wilson Motor Museum at Calne returning via 3 of the white horses that abound in that part of Wiltshire.
